What is Vintage?

What is Vintage?

There seems to be much discussion and some disagreement on how old  something must be to to fall into the category of  "vintage?"  As with antiques, we believe the required age would vary from one item to another.  For instance, a car needs only be 25 years old to be considered an antique, while some items must be 80, 100 or more years old.

With vintage, the age that applies to the items we are selling here is most often stated as 15 years or older.  We believe this to be a reasonable requirement.

While we can not guarantee that all of the items we are selling are vintage, we believe most to be, unless otherwise noted.

Most of our jewelry is from the 60's when my mother was selling Sarah Coventry, the 70's when I was selling Avon, and the 80's when I was selling Contempo Fashions.  Some pieces, especially some Avon pieces, are very new. Most of our vintage jewelry has been worn.

It is simply impossible to determine the age of some buttons.   Most of our buttons are unused.

We welcome any questions or comments you may have.
